The Logitech G27 is a great steering wheel. This wheel has been much anticipated by the online racing community. It is by far the most expensive mass produced wheel out there but there are good reasons for that. The overall quality of the product and manufacturing is amazing. The wheel feels like a real leather wheel, but here are the things that I liked the most about it.
- Pedals: The pedals are adjustable. This is huge. Everyone uses their pedals a little differently and it is bliss to be able to adjust them exactly how you want them. Especially if you are doing lots of hill and toe. I strongly suggest to get a good seat for these like the playseat. This will make the pedal set stand in the best orientation and angle. They need to be in a solid place.
- Dual Force Feedback with Helical Gears. The control feels tight and the feedback is just spot on. It feels precise and without any lag or play. I love it. The Helical gears (Diagonally cut) Provide for some of this grip and even more a lack of noise that you usually get from the wheel spin.
- Shifter: Unlike the G25 the Logitech G27 has not plasticky click when you shift. This is a blessing because it’s not so annoying as it used to be. I love to use the gear shift and the shifting pedals too. I do try to stick to whatever the car I am driving has in real life. Just to feel more into the game.
The Logitech G27 Racing Wheel at $299.00 is a pricey toy. I assure you though that every penny is worth it.
